Nick looked at his father serious and asked "what's wrong dad?" Paul looked at him and sighed "come on let's go to the park" he said.
Once they were at the park, Nick and Paul sat on a bench "yesterday I went to the doctors and they told me I have lung cancer" said Paul real quick, Nick looked at him in shock as tears started to form in his eyes "dad I... how...do... how much time?" he asked with shakily voice, Paul sighed "that doesn't matter son, I wan-" he tried to avoid the last question but it didn't work "dad it does to me, please tell me how much time" he said as tears started to roll down his cheek "only three months or less" by this time both of them were crying, it broke Paul's heart to see his oldest son like that, and it hurt him even more, knowing that he was going to leave his other kids too, well adopted kids, but still his kids, and they were really young Aleeah, Alyssa and Benjamin were only 12, Jonathan 9 and Sophia 6, he couldn't leave them not right now at least "Son, I need you to be strong for your brothers and sisters, please they are gonna need you, and your mother too, I know is hard it is to me too, but there is nothing we can do" he said hugging Nick and kissing his head, Nick stayed quiet, the only thing you could him from him were sobs "I also need you to run my company, I know you are a doctor, but I just need an owner, the rest will be done by some employment, and I want you to be that owner, I want you to make this company stay as good as it is or better, and I want you to do it in my memory okay?" he said wiping his tears, Nick took a deep breath and nodded his head "okay dad" he said between sobs "it's okay son" said Paul patting his back "I love you dad" said Nick looking at the man that have been with him through everything "I love you too Nicholas" said Paul kissing his forehead. Nick's phone started playing Miley's ringtone so Nick picked up instantly "Smile?" he said sobbing "Sweetie what's wrong?" she asked concerned, she was calling him to tell him that the pregnancy test had came out positive, but she got worried the time she heard his voice "I will tell you later princess, what's wrong, are you okay, are the kids okay?" he asked getting a little bit worried "yes we're all fine, I was calling to tell you that you are gonna be a daddy" she said sweetly "really?!" he asked distracting his mind for a little bit "yes baby, the test came out positive, me and your mom are on our way to the hospital I was hoping you could do an ultrasound to see if I am really pregnant" she said biting her bottom lip "of course I can, I will be in the hospital in 10 minutes, were are the kids?" he asked smiling lightly at the thought of his new baby, but the smiled quickly fade away when he remember the bad news his dad had just gave to him "Lucas, Melanie and Daniel are in school and Zoey is with me, oh and your mom wants your dad to pick up your brothers and sisters from school, and please ask him if he can pick our kids too" she said cutely, Nick chuckled and nodded even though he knew she couldn't see him "alright sweetheart I will tell him, I love you both drive safely" he said before hanging up the phone, he looked at his dad half smiling "Miley is pregnant" he said happy, Paul smiled and hugged Nick "congratulations Nicholas" he said "I gotta go to the hospital to make an ultrasound to Miley, and mom wants you to pick up the kids from school, please pick up my kids too, and we need to finish talking about this later dad" he said before going to his car and driving to the hospital.
16 minutes later, he walked into the building and found Miley and his mom, he walked over them and hugged Miley from behind "Hello beautiful" he said placing both of his hands on her hips "Hi sweetheart" she said turning around in his arms, Nick peck her on the lips and then her forehead "I'm sorry sweetheart, your mom told me about your dad" she said caressing his cheek "I don't wanna talk about it" he said pulling away from the hug and turning to his mom who was holding a sleeping Zoey "hi mom" he said kissing her cheek "Hi son" said Denise handing Zoey to him "let's go do the ultrasound" said Nick looking at Miley who just looked away when his gaze met hers, Denise walked into Nick's office "Nick I want you to talk about your dad with me okay?" said Miley looking at him "Miley, I said I didn't wanted to talk about it okay, so we won't talk about it!" he said raising his voice, Miley shook her head and walked into Nick's office, Nick sighed and followed her to his office, he placed Zoey on his chair and kissed her forehead before turning on the ultrasound machine "Lay down Miles" he said looking at her, Miley sat and laid down on the bed, Nick leaned down and kissed her cheek softly whispering in her ear "I'm sorry beautiful, we can talk about it later okay, right now it is all about our baby" he said as he kissed her forehead...
