As far as I know the DLC we get in may (lightning & Snow's stories) will be story related (sorta) it will show what they did to arrive in their present situations *snow what he did after 300 AF waterscape* *and how lightning was crystalized, so we'll probably see her fight with Caius*. But as far as proceeding with the main storyline any further, I think we're looking at a sequel (especially with the cryptic "To be continued..." at the end of the storyline

But every game seems to have a good amount of fans in this fanbase, so it's easy to ignore haters and enjoy speaking with others about the game itself without problems.

7. In the FF8 demo, I once got to this huge bird-like monster before I died. I usually always died at the enemies that were there previously, but almost defeated that beast. I was so close.... And yes, Versus looks absolutely amazing.

10. In my view, being told of a DLC ending before the game is released would be BS. If it's announced after, it makes more sense and doesn't feel like they're trying to split off an ending. I should've written that in my previous comment. I REALLY want to see Versus get more news and to come out. I'm not good at RPGs or FF, but Versus seems to shift to a style of gameplay that I will be able to go through more easily and understand it more. I really want to try it out and get a better taste of FF.

As for your second question, read the the mythology section under the FNC entry in final fantasy's wikia. In particular, read the last part 'and Bhunivelze continued to sleep until the end of time'. I dunno about you, but for me, the floating of new cocoon is perfect symbology for Bhunivelze waking at the end of time.
12. XIII-XIII.....Lol But know i think that Versus XIII has went into full development (these is a good news) , a XIII-3 is possible in the Future (afterall what happened to Noel , Hope and everybody else) , i do know of the DLC Episodes but we were never told that we would get a DLC Ending .

As for Lightning's DLC, any word on a release date for it? And what article/interview/wiki entry from where gave the indication that XIII-2 is an End of Times story? I''d like to know just how it's implied or meant to be an End of Times story with no good ending.
14. DLC is always imagined and conceived by developers as extras to add later, whether they're as petty as an Ezio costume or as serious as an extra part of the story. It's not something that, by it's conceptual nature, can be a part of the disc. It's not so much of SE trying to take money from the fans, but end the story rather than make an XIII-3 (BTW, wouldn't it be funny if they ever made a XIII-XIII?). I'm guessing this is partly due to them wanting to finish Versus XIII... Maybe.

19. According to the Fabula Nova Crystallis entry in the final fantasy wikia, SE has only registered the domain to protect the title, and have said there are no plans to make a third. The info on Lightning's story dlc was slipped in a collector's edition interview, saying how they wanted to explain the background behind this. Anyone interested in reading the mythos behind FNC will know that XIII-2 is the end of times story, and thus doesn't have a happy ending.

23. No, every human still exists, they simply live in a timeless world that lacks true life. There are going to be DLC Episodes that expand on the story though.
24. Remember that you can redo any part of the story you want. For that cutscene just redo the whole valhalla intro with lightning.
