Chorale Evangelique Moninga was created in 2003 by Congolese students and labourers living in Yaoundé joined later by several others Cameroonians.
This Gospel group, motivated by the will to spread out the Gospel of Christ through songs, led worship in many Presbyterian, Evangical, Baptist, Lutheran and Methodist churches in Cameroon.
Moninga in Lingala, language of Congo, means my neighbour. The creed of Moninga choir, "Love God, love and serve your neighbour" come from the Gospel of Matthew 12: 29-31.

La chorale Evangelique Moninga a été créée en 2003 par des étudiants et travailleurs congolais résidant à Yaoundé et auxquels se sont joints de nombreux Camerounais.
Ce groupe de Gospel, mû par la seule volonté de propager l'évangile de Christ par le chant, a animé de nombreux cultes dans les Eglises Presbytériennes, Evangéliques, Baptistes, Luthériennes et Méthodistes du Cameroun entre 2004 et 2007.
Moninga en langue lingala, du Congo, signifie mon prochain. Le credo de la chorale Moninga, « Aimer Dieu, aimer et servir son prochain », est tiré de l'Evangile selon Matthieu 12 :29-31.
