thanks. sucks about the crash. one time I drove all the way up there with my friend when I was in school in LA and he crashed and broke his finger the first run down...really sucked. Im thnking even by now theres still probably snow up there and the gates probably closed. I forget when they open it for sure though. sorry for the late reply, been real busy with a new bike. stumpjumper evo.
cool vid, last month me and my buddies biked all they way too the last bumpy run. we couldnt hike and ride to the second and good thing we didnt, we went late so the sun was starting to drop, i told my buddy it was safer to hit the 3rd trail and just go home, luckily we went down because first drop into the trail, he ate it, half way down, ate it again and his bike shredded into pieces, disc brake bent, and rear tire couldnt stay on, he had to walk. U think by now the gate should b open??
I've been riding this trail for a long time but I can't remember for the life of me what the name of the trail is which is right above 0007 and 007. If fact, on this day we got lost a bit and had to skip some of the trail above 0007. Also, during the winter, upper beasore gets snowed in real bad and your most hardcore 4x4 can't get through there. So you either gotta ride up or do willlow creek shuttle runs. Have you tried tolhouse trail up off of tolhouse?
I shot this video in july of 2011 and finally got some time to upload it. Also did some video of willow creek but can't find where I put it on my computer. The gat at central camp road is always locked during the winter. You either have to drive up beasore road and start out way up on the fire road, drop into 0007, then hit 007, or ride up 007 on your bike. We did the 15 mile DH trail from way up on beasore, then shuttled 007 the rest of the day.
The trail looks nice, when did you ride it? I uploaded a video from yesterdays ride. I thought the gate was closed, how did you get your truck back there? That's a whole lot of travel. Good ride.
thanks, glad you liked it. hopefully next time I can get a better camera angle.
That was a great video!
glad you liked it. for some reason the video quality turned out pretty crappy on this video. I think I must have had my gopro frame rate set wrong or something. hope it looks better on a good computer in 729p. my computer is just too old and slow to watch it in 720. this trail is pretty awesome...really gets my blood flowing just re-watching the video...really want to get out and ride!
That's pretty cool stuff.....Almost made me sick it felt like I was on the bike watching lol
This is a video of me riding my 2005 Specialized Bighit mountain bike on 007 trail at Bass Lake California, just North of Fresno. Bike has Marzocchi 888 forks with 8 inches of travel and a Fox vanilla r on the back with 8.5 inches of travel. everything besides the for is stock. This has been one of my favorite trails ever since I was a kid. Even though I no longer live in Fresno, my friends and I still drive the 7 hours from San Diego to ride this trail. 0007 just above 007 is also an awesome trail and so is everything else off of Beasore road. will post up some videos of willow creek too once I get some more time.
