1. Cars that are consider 2013 but was made in 2012 are 2013. Because of the release date. They were made in 2012., but won't be available to you until 2013. The 2013 Shelby was built in the last few months of 2012, but won't be release until April 17, 2013. Same day the first mustang was release. If it had to be built any earlier, then it be a 1/2.

3. There is several reason that the 2013 is better than the previous models (IE) Improvements in the drivetrain / more cubic inches / stronger transmission/ traction aides/ etc. The front has design changes as well. But to each his own
4. so by YOUR logic, we are NOT in 2012 but 2013, think what you're saying, 0 does not equal 1, we all know that, even though you make sense saying that year zero is the first year, it wasn't called zero, it was one. year one = 1, year 2 = 2 and etc.. thus this 2012 IS 2012 and what cars come this year, are 2012 cars, but if they say were designed for year 2013 and produced in 2012, it still has to be 2012 cars otehrwise it doesn't make sense.. if we can't agree then dw.
5. it does: when it was the year 0, 'we' were in the first year = 1. After new-years going onto year 1; the second year started = 2. So now being 2012, we are in the 2013th year. This is what I was told at a Chevrolet dealer when I asked the same question as you did.
6. y wud they be? and who would? they look exact same except for the rear of the car LOL.. it's a fail at design, the only reason i would get this over the one before it, would be if it has ^horsepower and less weight (by a good hundred pounds or so if possible). and better setup possibilities with it.

20. 650 horses, rear wheels. Any extra throttle and that rear is going to start moving, Tanner's experienced enough to handle it.

23. it is because American think it is 2013 ...which it technically is. We are now in the 2013 (just like it is the 21st century and not the 20th). So the car will be out this year.
24. @xGLITCHESx ........The GT-R is not really in it's class.........just look @ the spec sheet . Also a Lambo is a SUPERCAR with a supercar price.
25. .The 2013 models are available to ordered as of December 2011 . The GT500 will be out in the spring for purchase.
