A very warm welcome to my first upload for 2012, and the beginning of my fifth year on YouTube! Friday 30th December 2011 saw yours truly taking advantage of a West Midlands Day Ranger; pottering around the Birmingham area and the surrounding towns; in this video, we include Solihull, Leamington Spa, Birmingham New Street and Tamworth. We begin with a short bash aboard ex Wrexham & Shropshire 67013 Dyfrbont Pontcysyllte, working the 10:55 Birmingham Moor Street to London Marylebone Chiltern Railways service. Later on, we join Arriva XC HST powercars 43304 and 43301 at Birmingham New Street, for a short hop to Tamworth while the HST was working a late running service to Scotland. We conclude on the low level of Tamworth station, with an unidentified Freightliner 66 working a container train North, followed by a duo of passing Virgin Trains Pendolinos.
