On January 23rd, 2012...while Malaysian Chinese eagerly welcoming the arrival of the Year of the Water Dragon (Chinese New Year) pleasantly learning the news of additonal inclusion to the National Cultural Heritage List, namely Penang's "Giant Flags Procession" and Johor Bahru Old Temple's Chinngay (or Parade of Deities) City folks in Kuala Lumpur's oldest century-living heritage street - namely Jalan Sultan, however are facing heartbreaking moments, receiving probably the "last" of Chinese New Year celebration. Until a week before the Chinese New Year (CNY) owners of Jalan Sultan suddenly received the final notice from Land Office stating clearly that if the owners did not sign an agreement before 30th of January (9th day of CNY), Land Acquisition Act will be imposed and the construction of the proposed MRT line will be bulldozed through...hence the lost of the century-old street in the history of Greater Kuala Lumpur.
