13. There are legitimate economic laws that support the statement you're referring to. Say we take that same money for food stamps and give it to the rich in the form of tax cuts. Chances are, that money will sit in an investment somewhere, and be effectively taken out of the economy. Give money to the poor instead, and that money goes RIGHT back into circulation. Seems counter-intuitive, but its the truth.
